Method
- 1
Wash the apple, ginger, beet, carrots, and celery well. Scrub the beet and carrots since you may leave the skins on.
- 2
Peel the ginger if you like, and trim the ends off the beet, carrots, and celery.
- 3
Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core. Chop the beet, carrots, and celery into pieces that fit your juicer.
- 4
Run the ginger, beet, carrots, celery, and apple through your juicer, alternating hard and soft pieces so everything feeds through easily.
- 5
Stir the juice, pour it into a glass, and drink right away. Add ice if you like it cold.
Best fresh. Keep in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours and shake before drinking.
- No juicer? Blend everything with 1 cup of water, then strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag.
- Start with one thumb of ginger if you are new to its heat, then add more.
