Green Monster Smoothie

Calling it a monster smoothie does half the work. The color comes from a big handful of spinach that kids can't taste, because mango and banana are all they notice. Silken tofu makes it thick and creamy and adds protein without protein powder.

Method

  1. 1

Put the soy milk and spinach in the blender first and blend until no green flecks are left.

  2. 2

Add the silken tofu, banana, mango and hemp and blend until thick and smooth. Add a splash more milk if it won't move.

  3. 3

Pour into cups with a fun straw. For little kids, a small cup and a big one for you.

Storage

Best fresh. Pour leftovers into popsicle molds and freeze.

Good to know
  • Leftover smoothie makes the best popsicles. Kids think it's dessert.
  • Under 12 months? Serve it from an open cup or a spoon, not as a milk replacement.

Let them press the blender button. Freeze leftovers as popsicles.
