Crispy Tofu Fingers
Tofu cut into fingers is the easiest protein to hand a baby, a toddler or a picky 6-year-old. A light coat of cornstarch and nutritional yeast turns the outside golden and a little cheesy. Set out ketchup, BBQ sauce and hummus and let everyone dunk.

Method
- 1
Heat the oven to 425°F. Press the tofu dry with a towel and cut it into fingers about the size of an adult's pinky.
- 2
Toss the fingers gently with the oil, then with the cornstarch, nutritional yeast, spices and salt until every side is dusted.
- 3
Spread on a lined sheet pan and bake, flipping once, until golden and crisp outside.
- 4
Cool for a few minutes so the insides aren't too hot for little mouths, then serve with the dips.
Keeps 4 days in the fridge. Re-crisp in the air fryer for 3 minutes.
- Calcium-set tofu (check the label for calcium sulfate) adds a lot of calcium for kids.
- For lunchboxes they're good cold, packed next to a little tub of hummus.
For little ones
Serve as is with two dips. Let them pick.
