Method

  1. 1

Get to know your area and what is in season when.

  2. 2

Find fruit as close to the source as possible (at the blackberry patch, peach orchard, avocado grove, or tomato garden), and load up on what is fresh and looks good.

  3. 3

When you're hungry, eat the ripe fruit that is calling to you the most in that moment, until you are full and satisfied.

  4. 4

Here are my favorite monomeals: Mangoes Peaches Black grapes Canteloupe Watermelon Berries Oranges or mandarins Bananas Papaya

Storage

Refrigerate extra berries unwashed in a shallow container for up to 3 days. Rinse right before eating, or freeze them in a single layer for later.
